Slacker

So I am the biggest slacker in Blogging history!! I know I am a little dramatic :)
We have been busy, but not exactly sure doing what?

Jaxson is 6 months today, we take him to the Dr.s Friday...We will see how big the chunk is getting. Jaxson was diagnosed as having RSV on Superbowl. He was sent home from the doctors office on the nebulizer, but luckily was not hospitilzed. Then two days later we took him back to have our doctor check him and he had an ear infection. POOR BABY! Through all his sickness he has been pleasant and happy..and of course was still eating (he doesnt miss a meal)!!

Breyden caught the same junk Jaxson did. I actually think Breyden got it from pre-school and brought it home to all of us. We all have gone through the sickness cycle and are on the mend. YEAH!

ROCK STAR

In order to let everyone know my new career venture, I chose the appropriate background...I got Guitar Hero for Christmas and I am now on a career path to become a ROCK STAR!! HA...HA...HA!

I wish I was that good. I do love Guitar Hero and am thankful that Michael picked up on the 10 or so hints I dropped....Merry Christmas to me :):)

Not excited to do so......

but I am going private...I got some strange comment posted to our blog that was written in Japanese or Chinese and I am a little paranoid. I will send invites to everyone. If you want to be added, let me know!

Pictures with Santa

We have slacked off all season on taking the kids to see Santa. We usually go to the Zoo and have breakfast with Santa, but we were too cheap this year and decided not to go. We decided that tonight (the night before Christmas Eve) we were going to take them. I left work at 3:30 and when I got to the mall the line was outrageously long. One of the worker girls happened to be walking down the line to let everyone know that Santa would be taking a break at 4:30 and then wouldn’t be back until 5:15….I asked her how long the line took to get to the front she said that most people were waiting about and hour and a half to two hours (and then we had to tack on the time for his break…..three hours, I don’t think so)….Michael hadn’t gotten there yet with the kids so I called an told him never mind. We were supposed to be meeting his grandparents for dinner at 5:00…there is no way that was going to happen. We went to dinner early and I tried calling a few places to see if Santa was there. He was only at those places on the weekends…GREAT!! Grandma Street had bought both the kids cute Christmas outfits so I was determined to get their pictures with Santa. We decided to brave the line and went back to the mall after dinner. The line was about as long as it was when I left the first time, but I was not leaving without seeing Santa. After about an hour of waiting I saw Stacey Easter (a friend) and she was at the front of the line…so what do we do (I know we are going to hell) we BUTTED!! I know what everyone is thinking and trust me I got A LOT of dirty looks, but we got in and out and the kids saw Santa. THANKS AGAIN STACEY!!

Breyden was really brave, sat on Santa’s lap no problem, but would not talk to him and tell him what she wanted….so mommy told Santa for her!!

Christmas with the Archibalds

We had the most untraditional Christmas dinner…..enchiladas. They were Michael’s idea, but they were yummy! The kids had a blast playing with their new toys….Breyden especially loved turning everyone into “her prince” with her new wand. It is always a blast hanging with the Archibald’s…..I have to get as much time with them as possible since they will be leaving me in the summer….SAD!! Thanks again guys, love you!

Ice Skating

Saturday night we went ice skating with the Easters. Breyden did surprisingly well. She started really shaky and gripping onto my hands for life. By the end of the night she was only holding one hand.

Breyden's Gymnastics

Breyden does Gymnastics once a week for a half hour during Pre-School. They had a little recital last week. She is learning lots and loves it!

Waiting patiently to get into the "pit". The pit is her favorite. They do tricks into a big pit filled with foam blocks and then when they make their way out of the pit, there is a slide to go down.

Way to go Breyden....Mommy, Daddy, Jaxson and Grandma loved watching what you have been learning.

Jaxson is......

4 MONTHS....I cannot believe it. My baby boy is growing up way too fast. We had a doctor's appointment and everything looks good. We had a lengthy discussion as to why Jaxson has stopped sleeping through the night, the doctor basically told us that we were being too nice (spoiling him). So now we are going to try to break him of those horrible habits and hopefully I have my 12 hour a night sleeping boy back before we know it.
He weighs 13lbs 8oz and is 24 inches long. Each of those figures put him in the 25th percentile. We get to start feeding him veggies and fruits...which I am hoping will help satisfy him more; since I can't ever seem to get that boy satisfied!

Zoo Lights

We had the boys sleep over last weekend and decided to take them to Zoo Lights. It was OK, not worth the money. We basically paid to see Christmas lights. Almost all of the animals were put away and all the animal houses were closed. The only things that were out was the Black Bear and the Tiger...I was hoping to see more animals.
The kids had fun, and that is all that matters!

Markus and Zack were excited to stand next to a Cougar(boooooooo):

Jaxson stayed all nice and warm in a snuggly suit.

Of course the night ended with the kids crashed on Breyden's floor watching a movie and eating popcorn!

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures taken by a REAL photographer...Usually we go to Sears and every year I am disappointed. Not this year, we splurged and it was totally worth it. The girl we used was Shelly Sommerfeldt (www.shelsphotos.blogspot.com) she comes highly recommended!
Here are just a few of our favorites!

Busy Turkey Day Weekend

We had a busy but fun Thanksgiving weekend. We of course ate good food on Thursday and then my sister and I got up at 3:15 Friday morning to SHOP!!! We started at Wal-Mart, then went to Toys R Us, stood in line at RC Willey for 2 hours just to get a $25 gift card that you could hardly use on anything and then ended at Kohl’s….We had a blast and got some fairly decent deals. Then Michael had to meet us in Lehi, because I sent my car keys home with him Thursday night in the diaper bag….OOPPSSS (thanks again babe). Then the kids and I headed back to Salt Lake to a birthday party and then from there we went to my Aunt Kim’s house so we could make the gingerbread for our houses. When we were all done with that the grown-up girls and Jaxson went to see Mama Mia. Thanks to the Jones’ for watching Breyden for me!! Then Saturday we drug out all the Christmas decorations and went to town. Michael fixed my rotating tree stand. I have held on to that thing for the past three years and every year I pull it out thinking that it will miraculously start working again and it doesn’t so then I stick it back into storage and Michael complains about why we are keeping it. Well this year, we tore the bottom apart and found that one wire was disconnected and now it works beautifully….my tree rotates and the lights work. WOOOHOOO!! Then Saturday afternoon we were off to my Grandmas for dinner and to decorate our gingerbread houses. After getting home really late that night I was hoping the kids would sleep in….NOT! We got up Sunday morning and Grandmagrandpa (as Breyden calls her) called to see if Breyden could go shopping for a few hours. Breyden headed out with Grandma and the rest of us laid around until it was time for yet another party and time for Michael to go to work. That night we went to my Aunt Kim’s house for pie night…we had lots of yummy desserts and played lots of Guitar Hero (I am now addicted and am hoping Santa will bring me that for Christmas)!! That ended our crazy but fun weekend, now I feel like I need a vacation from my crazy weekend…ohhhh well back to the grind it was!

The finished product!

Jaxson's 1st Thanksgiving!

Playdate with Aubrey

Breyden had a play date with her friend Aubrey; she had a blast. They started out playing at the park and then when the mommies got too cold we took them to Arctic Circle for more playing and lunch.

And of course the afternoon ended with a HUGE gumball!!

GO UTES!!

Here is our little mighty UTE! He was all decked out enjoying his first Utah/BYU game.
