Busy Turkey Day Weekend

We had a busy but fun Thanksgiving weekend. We of course ate good food on Thursday and then my sister and I got up at 3:15 Friday morning to SHOP!!! We started at Wal-Mart, then went to Toys R Us, stood in line at RC Willey for 2 hours just to get a $25 gift card that you could hardly use on anything and then ended at Kohl’s….We had a blast and got some fairly decent deals. Then Michael had to meet us in Lehi, because I sent my car keys home with him Thursday night in the diaper bag….OOPPSSS (thanks again babe). Then the kids and I headed back to Salt Lake to a birthday party and then from there we went to my Aunt Kim’s house so we could make the gingerbread for our houses. When we were all done with that the grown-up girls and Jaxson went to see Mama Mia. Thanks to the Jones’ for watching Breyden for me!! Then Saturday we drug out all the Christmas decorations and went to town. Michael fixed my rotating tree stand. I have held on to that thing for the past three years and every year I pull it out thinking that it will miraculously start working again and it doesn’t so then I stick it back into storage and Michael complains about why we are keeping it. Well this year, we tore the bottom apart and found that one wire was disconnected and now it works beautifully….my tree rotates and the lights work. WOOOHOOO!! Then Saturday afternoon we were off to my Grandmas for dinner and to decorate our gingerbread houses. After getting home really late that night I was hoping the kids would sleep in….NOT! We got up Sunday morning and Grandmagrandpa (as Breyden calls her) called to see if Breyden could go shopping for a few hours. Breyden headed out with Grandma and the rest of us laid around until it was time for yet another party and time for Michael to go to work. That night we went to my Aunt Kim’s house for pie night…we had lots of yummy desserts and played lots of Guitar Hero (I am now addicted and am hoping Santa will bring me that for Christmas)!! That ended our crazy but fun weekend, now I feel like I need a vacation from my crazy weekend…ohhhh well back to the grind it was!

The finished product!
